Last updated: 12 June 2026

GroupPay ("we", "us", or "our") provides an application for tracking group expenses, borrows/debts, and personal spending (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using GroupPay you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Information

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. Expense and balance data you create is visible to the other members of the groups or transactions you share with them, as required for the Service to function. We use trusted service providers (for example, Google Firebase for push notifications and an image-hosting provider for uploaded images) that process data on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see Section 6); some records may be retained where required by law or to preserve the integrity of shared group records belonging to other users.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authenticated access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Your Rights and Choices

7. Children's Privacy

GroupPay is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
